Beauty from the inside out

When you hear the word beauty you think of appearance, am I right?
You have to think of the bigger picture though! Having a healthy body means you will have a healthy appearance. Here are some tips on how to achieve beauty, from the inside out!

Now when you get blemishes or pimples most people automatically think the cause of them was either makeup or what they have eaten. This is only partly right because if you eat junk food your body is going to be unhealthy- and what feeds your skin? your body! If you have a proper skincare routine that you use everyday to clean your skin then makeup will not have an effect on your skin. For 90% of the time the cause of your blemishes will be your hormones, whether it be your stressed or tired; your hormones will be fluctuating and causing you to break out. By sleeping 8-9 hours a night, it will give your body enough time and energy to rejuvenate itself- including the skin. I'm not talking miracles here, but if you get proper sleep every night it will help your hormones and skin.

Vitamins are another great way to help your body and skin stay healthy. With all the junk food and easy cook food available today, our body's are lacking the vitamins and nutrients they need. One of the best vitamins for your skin is vitamin C as it helps Collagen and Elastin growth, which are the DNA of the skin and can only be helped from the inside. My favorite way to help my skin is by having a warm cup of water and freshly squeezed lemon juice twice a day. It will clear up your skin in no time along with keeping your immune system up! Some other great vitamins you can take are: Multivitamins, Vitamin C, Vitamin D and Hair skin & nails (you need to go through at least a whole container before you see the amazing results).

Another easy way of taking care of your skin is by eating healthy. Fruit and vegetables are high in vitamins and nutrients that are good for the human body. The daily expectancy of fruit intake is 2 pieces, and 3 different types of vegetables a day. The raw-er the vegetables are, the higher in vitamins they will be. Citrus fruit are high in vitamin C so again they will help with the Collagen and Elastin regeneration.

Water does amazing things to the body, it keeps it hydrated and running. Water also keeps the skin hydrated and cleans out all the toxins in the body so you don't get any bad side effects from them. By drinking 7-8 units of water a day you will be cleaning out your system  and refreshing your skin.

Everybody always asks me how to get rid of these wrinkles, and how to prevent aging. The smartest way to prevent aging is by protecting your skin and wearing sunscreen. The suns UV rays break down the collagen in the skin, therefore creating lines and wrinkles. Sunscreen is made to reflect the UV rays away from the skin which prevents the collagen being damaged. There are a lot of companies claiming to have 'anti-aging properties' and 'age reversing formulas' but in fact there is no way a cream sold at a supermarket could reverse aging. Nothing can reverse aging. Laser can reduce the effects of aging, and sunscreen can prevent aging to the skin, but you cant reverse aging so don't fall for companies lies. The only products that can go deep enough into the skin to effect the collagen and elastin have to be prescribed.

By having a regular skin care routine like stated above, you will continue to look after your skin and keep it healthy. You should always remove your makeup at the end of the day before going to sleep. You should also use a toner, which will remove any excess cleanser and then help reset the skins PH levels that help protect the skin from bacteria. By using a moisturizer, even when you have oil skin, you will prevent flakiness and moisturizers usually have a high content of water so it will help your skin stay hydrated as well. An eye cream will have antioxidants and gentler ingredients for the delicate eye area. Remember to use a facial exfoliator and face mask 2-3 times a week to help the top layers of your skin fresh and rejuvenated.

I hope these tips help you take care of your skin, and remember that you are only young once so be nice to your skin.
