Giveaway winners / Salon Melbourne Haul

So my one year blogaversary giveaway has ended and I would like to thank all of the lovely people who entered, and all of my amazing readers; Without you The Beauty Box would be nothing!

The winners have been chosen,
Winner of the first prize was Candice from candiceyoureview
and Sue from suelovexx

Thankyou again to everyone who entered and followed the rules, I look forward to many more blog posts, chats and giveaways!

I know Salon Melbourne was nearly two weeks ago, but I wanted to put my Haul post up a bit later so I could tell you my first impressions of what I got. I went along with my fellow favourite bloggers Jas from Sweetaholic-beauty, Kat from Kitschsnitch and Mel from Melissa Bubbles, Beauty, Fashion & Life!

The very first stall I visited was Inglot. For those of you who don't know, Inglot is an amazing makeup company who have surprisingly cheap prices for great quality items!

I have had my eye on Inglot's freedom palette for a while now, because they are so appealing to the eye; much better looking then MAC's in my opinion. I was pleased to find out Inglot were going to be at salon Melbourne this year, considering they haven't been before. I was even more excited when I visited the stall, it was like a kid in a candy store.

I purchased an empty freedom 5 palette, and 5 shadow inserts which came to a total of $46 ($7 for the shadows - normally $10, and $11 for the palette - normally $15)

The colours I chose:
08
31
12
37
and 21

I absolutely love all of the shades I chose (photos don't do justice!) The formula of them is creamy and so pigmented, I think I have found my new favourite palette!

After we had finished looking at every stall we decided to visit Inglot one more time, and this is when I picked up the 10 pan freedom palette for $16!

Since Salon Melbourne I have been into my local Inglot store and purchased two more shadow inserts, I can't wait to complete my palettes!

Next up was the ORLY stand, another stand I was looking forward to!
I was gifted a ORLY Gel Fx in Charged Up, because I had ordered one online and the colour was not right. The people are ORLY were so understanding and helpful, they gave me a replacement one straight away.

Charged Up is a beautiful deep purple, my favourite colour! I can't wait to wear this more often!

I then headed off to CND where I purchased a shellac in the colour Tutti Frutti.
This is a gorgeous bright shimmery pink, I have used this previously so I know that I love it!

I then had to stop over at Media Makeup and pick up a Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow in number 10. I had seen this in many raving blog posts and had to pick it up while I could! Kat also recommended it, and I love it! I have used it every day and can't believe I lived without it!

Lastly I snatched up some brushes from Crown Brushes. I had never tried any Crown Brushes so I thought it would be a good opportunity to try some out. I grabbed a travel spoolie brush so it doesn't take up much room when travelling, a small fan brush for highlighting, a short crease brush, two tapered blending brushes and an angled eyebrow brush (you can't see it in the photo but the shadow is there).

I have tried all of these brushes since and am very happy with the quality! I will defiantly be purchasing more Crown Brushes in the near future!

Have you tried any Crown brushes? What are your favourites?

  1. Oooh what a lovely Salon Melbourne Haul. I treated myself to a tiny Inglot Freedom Palette about a year ago and it was the best decision ever. I love the shades I chose and think it is amazing that you can totally customise the whole thing to suit your taste. I also think that for such brilliant quality shadows, they're actually not as expensive as they could be. Love Inglot :) x

      Inglot is amazing aren't they!
I was so surprised to see they were that cheap, I have walked passed my local store numerous times because I assumed they were MAC prices!
